Some of AMG’s national leaders live and minister in areas where Christians are persecuted for their faith. In order to not jeopardize their safety and security, the identities of this dedicated couple and their family have been changed for this web description.
SPA shares, “I came from a remote village where my parents were seasonal agricultural laborers. They provided me with an education up to the 10th grade out of their meager earnings. Soon after, I became a bread winner in my family. Unfortunately, I started going down the wrong path by indulging myself in worldly pleasures with my friends. Later, I became a pain to my parents. One day, a Gospel worker happened to come to my village to conduct a prayer meeting. He invited my parents and me to attend. Initially, I refused to participate but the songs attracted me to sit in on the prayer. He preached about the salvation in Jesus, and I confessed my sins and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and the Lord. After three years, I was baptized.
Once in a while, I would accompany the preacher as he conducted his Gospel outreach program. During one of those times, I expressed to him my longing for spiritual growth. He suggested that I go to school to receive biblical training. I did as he suggested, and my spiritual life started taking shape. I then returned to my home village and started ministering as an evangelist. I soon formed a prayer group at my house, and after some time passed my parents accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and got baptized. They were the first fruits in my ministry. From those humble beginnings, we now have an assembly of 70 members regularly gathering for prayer meetings. Of those, 50 have been baptized.
We are now conducting prayer meetings and Bible studies in my village. We are also reaching the surrounding villages with the Gospel of Salvation. We are also distributing Gospel tracts, copies of the New Testament and Christian literature at no cost to villagers. During evenings, we are conducting Gospel meetings and preaching the Word of God to the unreached. Please pray for my ministry and for my family.
