Tanzania Orphans Mission
In 2011 Alekos and Nafsika Charalambidis, visited Tanzania, where they were overwhelmed by the poverty and orphans that they saw. Moved by their experience, they moved to Tanzania in 2013 and began building what is known as the Tanzania Orphans’ Mission (TOM).
The orphanage now consists of six dorms, classrooms, a kitchen and dining hall, and housing for the teaching staff and volunteers. It also includes facilities to raise animals and process rice and cornflour to make the facility more sustainable.
