Joan is a joyful young girl in Uganda who lives with her mother and father and five siblings. Joan loves singing and wants to be a teacher when she grows up. Along with meeting the childs physical and educational needs, the Upendo Christian Academy is an orphanage where children live and grow as disciples of Christ through biblical teaching and times of prayer. Although sponsorship provides the child with nutritious meals, a warm bed, and a wonderful education, nothing is more valuable than learning about their savior Jesus Christ.
