Myrto Theocharous
Myrto Theocharous serves with AMG International in Greece. She is Professor of Hebrew and the Old Testament at the Greek Bible College in Athens, Greece. Greek Bible College professors raise their own support in order to make studying more affordable for students. Myrto was born in Cyprus, and in her teenage years became a committed evangelical Christian. She received her MA in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College, Illinois and her doctorate in Hebrew Studies from the University of Cambridge. Myrto writes, "I am committed to the study and teaching of the Old Testament and related topics, as well as individual mentoring, for the purpose of preparing and equipping students from various protestant denominations for various ministries to their respective churches and a powerful theologically-driven impact in their social context." Myrto's ministry also extends beyond the Bible College. She has a deep concern for women in Greek cities who are trapped in human trafficking and prostitution, and is actively involved in outreach ministry for their care and rescue.
