Dodi Simel Liu
Dodi works with unreached people groups in very difficult circumstances.
He says, "I was born into a devout Christian family. Since I was little I was required to go to church and be taught the word of God. But what I did was just a formality. I don't really know the Lord Jesus. After graduating from high school, I migrated to Jakarta. I worked in a factory and lived with people I didn't know. From there I started to feel afraid because there was no one I could hope for. I began to realize that I needed God. Eventually I found a church and was personally guided to accept Jesus. Since then I have grown and have a desire to serve God. I believe God gave me the vision to serve UPGs. since seminary, I started praying for several unreached people groups and finally I was determined to serve the Acehnese. My vision for Aceh is that there is a house congregation in every village throughout Aceh province. To fulfill the vision that God gave us, my wife and I decided to go from one village to another to provide sewing training to the community, especially women. Apart from that, we produce soap for washing clothes and washing dishes. We go around selling soap so we can spread the good news."
