Joner Banjarnahor
Joner is working with Unreached People in a rural community of Indonesia.
He says, "I was born into a Christian family but only have a Christian identity and do not know Jesus personally. In 1989 I opened my heart and truly accepted the Lord Jesus when I was in Surabaya and attended a spiritual revival service at the Gelora 10 November Stadium in Surabaya. I surrendered myself to the Lord Jesus when there was an invitation to accept the Lord Jesus as Personal Lord and Savior and since then I have experienced a new birth in Jesus. , then I surrendered myself as a servant of God and serve God to this day, praise the Lord. God gave me a vision to serve the Baduy and Sundanese tribes in Banten Province. to this day I continue to work on my calling even though the distance is very long and the terrain is very difficult. Apart from that, I have to patiently learn the culture, local language, and preach the gospel to the Baduy tribe who are not allowed to go to school because of very unique customary rules, and also a tribe that is very opposed to technological developments. This is God's vision to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God. There are 2 things I am doing to be able to enter and be accepted by the Baduy community. First, I came as a health cadre. I brought a blood pressure monitor and generic medicines that Baduy people usually need. Many Baduy people were helped through this health service and several people believed in Jesus. Second, I helped sell forest honey and palm sugar from the Baduy village to the city of Serang, where I live.
