Glapansari Child Development Center is a village located in a beautiful hilly area of Central Java. Most of the families there work as farm laborers making very little money. Gambling is a problem in this community. The families typically eat rice, vegetables, and salted fish if they can afford to buy it. The Glapansari Childcare Center started when a local church saw a need in their community. Children attend the center Monday through Friday for two hours where they receive a meal, help with their homework, and Bible study. Central Java is primarily Muslim, but through the testimony of the childcare center and the church, many there have come to know Christ as their Savior.
