Namugoga Child Development Center
The Namugoga Child Development Center is located near Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Namugoga has a population of 6,000 people, most of whom are illiterate and poor. The people live in houses made with mud and grass. Many of the fathers sell bricks in addition to subsistence farming to provide for their families. The spread of AIDS is rampant in the area due to the practice of polygamy. Many also practice sorcery and witchcraft, sometimes culminating in child sacrifice. The light of Christ is steadily penetrating the spiritual darkness in Namugoga. The community needs education for the children, proper health care, and to hear the Gospel. AMG is dedicated to restoring those who are suffering physically and to usher the people to the One who can remedy their spiritual suffering.
